Leica M11-D in Black
Rangefinder M11 with no rear screen — viewfinder-only operation in current M-system hardware.
The M11-D pairs the M11 platform with no rear LCD. There is no display to chimp on, no menu system to navigate at the camera back — exposure compensation, ISO, shutter speed, and storage settings are configured via a small top-plate display and a single dial. Internally it is an M11 — 60MP full-frame BSI CMOS, Triple Resolution Technology, Maestro III processor, M-mount compatibility with every M-mount lens Leica has produced since 1954.
Position in the lineup
The M11-D is for someone who treats reviewing on the back of the camera as friction rather than feature. Within the M11 lineup it sits as the screen-free variant — the standard M11 has a rear touchscreen, the M11-P adds Content Authenticity Initiative metadata signing and sapphire monitor cover, the M11 Monochrom uses the dedicated mono sensor, the Glossy Black is the cosmetic special edition, the M EV1 trades the rangefinder for an electronic viewfinder. The M11-D removes the screen and asks the photographer to shoot, walk away, and review later — the closest current M11 to film-camera operation.
