NordVPN is a VPN service operated by Nord Security, based in Panama and Lithuania. The core product encrypts network traffic and routes it through one of 6,000+ servers in 111 countries. The infrastructure supports multi-hop (traffic routes through two servers) and obfuscated servers for networks that block standard VPN protocols.
The product has expanded beyond the VPN client. Threat Protection runs as an always-on layer — blocking trackers, ads, and known malware domains without requiring an active VPN connection. NordPass and NordLocker are separate products within the same account ecosystem, covering password management and encrypted file storage respectively. For a studio handling client data or working across public networks, the suite covers the main exposure points from one subscription.
