The BP-DC15 is the D-Lux platform battery. Lithium-ion, sized to match the D-Lux 8's compact form factor, USB-C charging compatible in-body.
Position in the lineup
A spare BP-DC15 is the practical purchase for the D-Lux 8 photographer who carries the camera as a daily-use compact. The compact body and smaller battery shorten the per-charge runtime relative to the Q and SL families; a spare covers most full days of mixed shooting.
